Work-Integrated Learning New Zealand (WILNZ) is a not-for-profit incorporated society connecting people and institutions involved in work-integrated learning in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally. Its network includes colleagues in diverse roles and providers engaged in different forms of WIL. WILNZ supports the development and exchange of knowledge in the field by supporting and publishing research and encouraging discussion of effective practice.
Work-integrated learning describes educational activities that combine academic learning with workplace practice. Students undertake authentic, meaningful work-related tasks, with education providers and workplaces or community organisations as key stakeholders.
WILNZ offers individual and organisational memberships, creating opportunities for members to connect across the sector. Its activities and resources include free webinars, an annual conference, conference proceedings, awards, and access to the International Journal of Work-Integrated Learning. The society also provides information about WIL quality, its history, and global connections. Its next conference is scheduled to be co-hosted by Wintec in Hamilton from 13 to 15 April 2027. WILNZ welcomes enquiries and shares updates through its newsletter and online channels.
