About Wiltshire Museum
Welcome to Wiltshire Museum, located in the historic market town of Devizes. Housed in charming Georgian and Victorian buildings, this Grade II listed museum has been a hub for archaeology, history, and natural history since 1874.
As you explore our award-winning displays, you'll discover the largest collection of Early Bronze Age gold ever displayed in England, including 30 pieces of gold treasure from the Stonehenge period. Our exhibits not only shed light on this fascinating era but also showcase 500 Stonehenge period objects, alongside archaeology, art, local history, and natural history artifacts.
In addition to our permanent galleries, we offer a range of events, lectures, and special exhibitions suitable for all ages. Our museum also houses an Archive and Library open to the public, providing further resources for researchers and history enthusiasts.
