About Women in Management Africa
WIMA, short for Women in Management Africa, is a prominent brand dedicated to promoting and enhancing the visibility of senior-level women in management positions. As a recruitment agency with over 8 years of experience, WIMA recognized the significant gap in female representation in leadership roles and set out to bridge that divide. Their mission is to improve gender balance and diversity on boards and in leadership roles, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
One of WIMA's initiatives involves featuring 50 accomplished senior women in management on their social media pages, recognizing and honoring their successes. This platform serves as an inspiration for emerging leaders, showing them that it is possible to reach the pinnacle of their careers. In addition to the visibility campaign, WIMA offers services such as identifying education and training workshops designed by women for women to address gender disparity issues in the workplace.
They also strive to build a diverse and extensive database of highly qualified female professionals who can serve as board members and C-level executives in the private sector. Moreover, WIMA provides mentorship programs and encourages the development of talented female professionals, assisting them in their career journeys and serving as role models. With a dedicated board of directors hailing from various financial and nonprofit organizations, WIMA ensures its sustained growth and exceeds client expectations.
The management team, led by CEO and Founder Naike Moshi, brings together a wealth of expertise and experience to lead the brand forward. Aspiring to be a thriving network that supports women in their board and leadership journeys while celebrating their achievements, WIMA is committed to empowering women in management. They can be contacted through their headquarters in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and are a registered organization under COSOTA (Copyright Society of Tanzania)
