Welcome to Women in Nuclear - IAEA Chapter, an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting qualified women in the nuclear and radiation professions. Our members, both men and women, work in the nuclear field and believe in their crucial role in ensuring the safety and peaceful use of nuclear energy and its applications. Established in 1998, our IAEA Chapter aims to create a network for women working at the IAEA and other Vienna International Centre-based organizations, fostering the exchange of knowledge and experience.

Our objectives align with the IAEA's mission to promote atomic energy for peace, health, and prosperity worldwide. We strive to encourage the growth and advancement of women in nuclear science and technology careers, asserting that gender equality is essential for both men and women to participate as agents and beneficiaries of the Agency's programs. Additionally, we are committed to cultivating and mentoring the future nuclear workforce, as well as ensuring gender equality is reflected in the programs and activities of Vienna-based organizations.
