Windybanks Fishing Club

Windybanks Fishing Club is a family-oriented fishing club based in the Hornsby Shire, bringing together anglers of all experience levels. Its local fishing grounds include the Hawkesbury River and its tributaries, Pittwater and Broken Bay. The club helps members develop their fishing skills by sharing practical knowledge about rigs, bait and fishing locations, with members involved in estuary, rock, beach, deep-sea and freshwater fishing. It promotes sustainable practices, including catch-and-release fishing, to help protect fish for future generations.

Activities include monthly social meetings at Asquith Bowling Club, where members can hear fishing reports, meet guest speakers and take part in a raffle. The club also runs friendly catch-and-release competitions for adults and juniors, along with local boat days and fishing trips. Members without boats may be able to join through available spare seats. Community activities include Gone Fishing Day at Bobbin Head and charity fishing events. Prospective members are welcome to attend a meeting on the first Wednesday of the month, except January, to learn more about the club and its upcoming activities.
