Windy City Self Defense

Windy City Self Defense provides self-defense classes and workshops for individuals, groups, and organizations in the Chicago area. Its programs focus on helping participants respond to threatening situations by combining practical physical techniques with mental preparation. Workshops teach participants to manage panic, act promptly, build awareness, and adopt a proactive mindset, alongside physical strategies such as aggressive maneuvers, targeting vulnerabilities, and concentrating power.

The company offers women’s self-defense workshops as well as corporate and private sessions designed to support personal safety, confidence, and team morale. Training can be arranged onsite, with clients choosing the day, time, and location; groups may range from one to 100 participants. Live-streamed sessions are also available. In addition to instruction, Windy City Self Defense shares self-defense tips and workshop information through its website. Its stated goals include fostering empowerment, increasing awareness, reducing stress, and helping participants feel more prepared. The overall approach emphasizes both avoiding danger where possible and knowing how to respond if a threatening situation arises.
