Wine of Moldova is the national wine brand promoted by Moldova’s National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV), an organization that supports the regulation and development of the country’s vitivinicultural sector. ONVV provides a platform for cooperation among industry participants, working to strengthen the competitiveness of wine products, highlight their authenticity and connect them with consumers.
Through its “Wine of Moldova. A Living Legend” program, the organization promotes Moldovan wines and the country’s winemaking heritage. Its website introduces visitors to wineries and cellars, grape varieties, wine styles and the four protected geographical indication regions: Codru, Ștefan Vodă, Valul lui Traian and Divin. It also shares information about wine tourism, winery visits, tasting experiences and local food, including visits to the renowned underground cellars of Cricova and Mileștii Mici.
ONVV supports public awareness through the National Wine Day, other wine-related events, competitions, news, publications and media resources. Together, these initiatives help showcase Moldova’s winemakers, traditions and diverse wine experiences to local and international audiences.
