WINFO Környezetvédelmi, Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Kft. is a Hungarian environmental, commercial and service company established in 2000. Its work focuses on the installation and operation of wind turbines, consultancy, and raising public awareness of renewable energy and environmental protection.
The company is based in Kulcs, beside the first wind turbine integrated into the public electricity network. Its Kulcs wind farm has become a popular destination for educational visits, and the company offers wind-turbine visits and a virtual tour. Visitors can learn about how wind turbines work and the role of alternative renewable energy sources through presentations and indoor or outdoor programs.
These activities are supported by an on-site lecture room with capacity for 40 people, which is also available for rental. The company’s programs connect practical insights into wind energy with information about its wider environmental importance. The wind turbine is located about 60 kilometres south of Budapest, near the Danube; access to its site requires prior permission
