WING 49

WING 49 CZ, z.s. is a Czech nonprofit association founded in 2004 to support the development of sport and community activities. Its work spans children’s and youth sport, performance and recreational sport, emerging and nontraditional disciplines, and opportunities for people from socially disadvantaged groups. The association also aims to encourage healthy lifestyles and create supportive conditions for nurturing young athletic talent.

WING 49 organizes and supports tournaments, sports and cultural events, benefit events, and activities open to the wider public. Its history includes the Hockey Camp WING 49 Ladislav Lubina, held annually from 2004 to 2016 in locations including Dvůr Králové nad Labem, Trutnov, and Nová Paka. The camp welcomed international participants and, in 2009, was held under the patronage of the Calgary Flames. The association has also taken part in youth tournaments and international sporting collaborations. Based in Trutnov, WING 49 CZ works to make sport an active part of public life in the Czech Republic and through international partnerships.
