Tao Chan Wing Chun Augsburg is a martial arts and self-defense school and an official school of the Tao Chan Wing Chun organisation. It teaches a traditional Wing Chun system presented as tracing directly to Grandmaster Ip Man through his son, Grandmaster Prof. Dr. Ip Chun, and combining this lineage with Shaolin Chan teachings. Instruction is delivered by Sifu Günbay Sali and Sifu Ajie Sulistyo under the authority of Abbot Chi Sim.
The school offers structured, progressive training in Wing Chun, with practical self-defense at its core. Its approach also aims to develop confidence, concentration, awareness, physical and mental control, health, and personal character. Lessons are taught in a friendly atmosphere, without secrecy, using modern teaching methods alongside traditional principles. The curriculum is suitable for young people aged 13 and older, as well as adults with no stated upper age limit. Advanced study may include traditional Chinese medicine, Chan Buddhist, Confucian and Taoist philosophy, and meditation.
