Wing Chun Martial Art

Wing Chun Martial Art is a self-defence and martial arts school on the Gold Coast, training at Broadbeach State School Hall. Led by instructor and Sifu Arthur Batakin, the school teaches Wing Chun with an emphasis on practical, effective self-defence. Its approach focuses on understanding the art’s principles and applications, while recognising that learning and using them well takes practice and commitment.

The school welcomes adults and children, women and men, and students from a range of cultural and social backgrounds. Its offerings include Wing Chun classes and women’s self-defence training, providing students with opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills in a respectful learning environment. Batakin brings more than 35 years of martial arts experience and studied Wing Chun under master Bruce Cheng. The school also identifies its lineage through Bruce Cheng, Lo Man Kam and Ip Man. Training information, location details, gallery updates and grading results are available through the school’s website.
