Wings Over Rockport

Wings Over Rockport is an aviation-focused organization based at Aransas County Airport in Rockport, Texas, serving the Coastal Bend community and aviation enthusiasts. Its mission is to spark interest in aviation, preserve aviation heritage, and help prepare the next generation of aviation professionals through educational programs and events. The organization grew from holiday fly-ins featuring vintage aircraft, warbirds, Young Eagle and Discovery Flights, aircraft displays, vendors, and other exhibits. It continues to bring people together around aviation while supporting learning and career development.

A central initiative is the Wings Over Rockport Aviation Scholarship, which provides financial assistance for flight training, aviation education, and certification programs. It is open to high school students, military veterans, and career changers pursuing fields such as piloting, aircraft maintenance, and air traffic control. Wings Over Rockport also invites community members to volunteer, whether or not they are pilots. Its calendar includes the annual WOR Golf Tournament, which supports local aviation scholarships and educational programs.
