The Winnipeg Arts Council Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation with charitable status, charged by the City of Winnipeg to distribute funding to arts organizations and artists, to manage the City’s Public Art Policy, and to champion development of the arts for the people of Winnipeg. As a city-building organization, the Winnipeg Arts Council focuses on the quality of life in the city and how arts and culture determine Winnipeg’s reputation as a City of the Arts, both nationally and internationally.

About – Winnipeg Arts
The Winnipeg Arts Council (WAC) is a brand that focuses on artistic excellence and community impact. They support opportunities for the people of Winnipeg to engage with the arts as both artists and audiences. With a commitment to evolving practices and the needs of the diverse artistic community in Winnipeg, WAC has invested $3,863,323 into the thriving arts scene in 2021 through their diverse and peer-assessed grant programs.
WAC offers various grants to support artists, arts administrators, arts organizations, collectives, and museums. Their grant programs include the Individual Artist Grant Program, Professional Research & Development Grant, Professional Development Grant Program for Artists & Arts Administrators, Project Grant Program for Arts Organizations & Collectives, Multi-Year Grant Programs for Arts Organizations, and the New Creations Fund for Arts Organizations.
