Winterdahl

Michael Winterdahl is a Danish neuroscientist, author and speaker whose work explores how brain chemistry and hormones shape human behavior, relationships and sense of identity. His research connects neuroscience with questions of sex, sexuality, health and quality of life, using perspectives that range from brain imaging and hormones to everyday experience. Winterdahl is a research leader at Aalborg University Hospital’s Sexological Center and a lecturer at Aalborg University’s Department of Clinical Medicine.

Through public lectures, he makes research accessible by addressing familiar questions about gender, identity, behavior, stress and the human attraction to collecting. His talks are available to professional audiences and curious members of the public, with bookings handled through ARTE. He also contributes expert commentary, interviews and background to radio, television, podcasts and newspapers, and provides information for journalists.

Winterdahl co-authored Samleren i os alle: Passion eller samlermani with Kamilla Albek. The book examines why people collect, the enjoyment and community it can bring, and when collecting may become overwhelming.
