Winter Film Festival

Winter Film Awards is a non-profit organization based in New York City that showcases the diverse and exciting world of independent arts. Since its establishment in 2011 by a group of passionate filmmakers and enthusiasts, Winter Film Awards has been committed to recognizing excellence and diversity in cinema. With a special emphasis on supporting women and under-represented filmmakers, they provide a platform for emerging talents from around the world.

Their annual international film festival, spanning ten days, offers a range of engaging activities such as film screenings, discussion panels, professional development workshops, and lively parties at various venues across NYC. Winter Film Awards selects 80-90 independent films from different genres to be screened at Cinema Village, New York City's premier independent cinema. The event concludes with a glittering awards ceremony and red carpet gala at one of NYC's top nightclubs, with over $75,000 worth of cash, prizes, and distribution opportunities awarded.

Winter Film Awards is an IMDB-qualifying festival and receives support from public funds provided by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, as well as the New York State Council on the Arts.
