About Winterland Lodge
Winterland Lodge & Taproom is a unique brand that stems from the passion for music and mountains. Founded by two friends, Chris Hinds and Gardner Robinson, who have spent more than 20 years living in Japan and engaging in winter sports at Nozawa Onsen. Inspired by their love for the Grateful Dead, the brand was born after attending the band's final show in 2015.
Winterland Lodge & Taproom offers an exceptional experience in Nozawa Onsen, combining the cozy and inviting lodge with a vibrant taproom. You can indulge in delicious gyoza, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, or explore the tantalizing menu at the taproom. The brand also provides information about the Winterland Ballroom, an iconic venue in San Francisco that hosted legendary shows for over a decade.
