Winter River-Tracadie Bay Watershed Association

The Winter River–Tracadie Bay Watershed Association (WRTBWA) is a registered charitable organization focused on protecting and enhancing the health and natural beauty of the Winter River–Tracadie Bay watershed. Its work combines conservation, education, and community engagement to help people understand and care for the land and waterways around them.

Conservation projects include tree planting, stream clearing, and wildlife surveys, alongside efforts to protect vulnerable species, address invasive species, and promote water conservation. The association also supports community connections to the watershed, hosting activities such as public tree-planting events and snowshoeing, and working with local farmers. Its educational program and public events help explain watershed systems and the environmental challenges they face.

WRTBWA shares resources including a watershed management plan, bylaws, newsletters, and guidance on topics such as proper waste disposal and interacting with nature. Community members can take part in events, explore project updates, or support the organization through donations. As a registered charity, WRTBWA can issue tax receipts for income tax purposes.
