About WIOMSA
WIOMSA, the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association, is a prominent regional brand that was established in 1993. It is a non-profit, membership organization registered in Zanzibar, Tanzania in 1994. WIOMSA is dedicated to the advancement of marine sciences in the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) region, which includes 10 countries: Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Comoros, Madagascar, Seychelles, Mauritius, and Réunion (France).
