Wirral Fox Rescue

Wirral Fox Rescue is a registered charity and the only dedicated fox rescue and rehabilitation organisation based in Wirral. From its rehabilitation centre in Hoylake, the charity helps sick and injured foxes in Wirral and surrounding areas, working with members of the public who care about local wildlife. Foxes receive treatment, often with support from vets, before progressing through rehabilitation and, where possible, being released back into the wild. The centre is not open to the public, as the animals are recovering.

Alongside rescue and rehabilitation, Wirral Fox Rescue provides information about red fox behaviour and ways to support local fox populations. Its activities also include fox education, conservation, community engagement and work with Eco-Schools. The charity’s Magic Fox is a pre-loved shop in New Ferry, Wirral, and serves as its main source of support. People can also help through donations and kennel sponsorship. With these services and opportunities, the organisation brings together animal care, public involvement and practical support for foxes across the area.
