Cortex AI is a software brand focused on helping professionals automate repetitive work across documents, browsers, and desktop applications. Its main product, Cortex Workspace, is an AI-powered desktop app that reads files and transfers information into web apps, reducing manual data entry, reformatting, and tab switching. It supports common formats including PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, text, images, and scanned documents with OCR.

Cortex can work with browser-based tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Salesforce, Encompass, LendingPad, and Clio, without requiring API integrations. The workspace is designed for accounting, legal, and mortgage and loan workflows, including moving receipt and bank-statement data into accounting systems, handling contracts and filings, and entering borrower documents into loan platforms. Users can review the steps and sources as tasks are performed.

Cortex offers a free download and an Enterprise plan with team management, shared workflows, centralized billing, and administrative controls. The company states that projects remain in local folders, AI-request data is deleted within 30 days, customer data is not used to train models, and its service is SOC 2 Type II certified
