ICW, the International Community of Women Living with HIV, is a global network exclusively for women living with HIV. Founded in 1992 by HIV-positive women activists, ICW emerged as a response to the persistent silencing and marginalization of women living with HIV in the HIV response. At ICW, we strive to be at the forefront of the feminist HIV response.

With a presence in over 120 countries, ICW engages leaders through 10 regional networks worldwide. These networks operate in Asia Pacific, Caribbean, Central Africa, East Africa, Europe and Central Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), North America, Southern Africa, and West Africa. We also have a dedicated Chapter for Young Women and Girls (CYWAG).

At ICW, we prioritize grassroots voices and draw from the lived experiences and struggles of women living with HIV to shape our agenda. Our vision is to create a world where all women living with HIV are free from gender oppression, fully aware of and asserting their rights related to sexuality, reproduction, the law, society, the economy, and health. To achieve our mission, we mobilize, organize, advocate, mentor, and raise public awareness about the issues that directly impact our lives.

Our work spans diverse areas, including the Stigma Index, engaging in validation, reproductive justice, feminist school, young advocates, social media, movement building, the Global Fund, publications, knowledge creation, policy documents, webinars, videos, blogs, campaigns, and annual reports.
