About Women's National Book Association-Nashville Chapter
The Women’s National Book Association (WNBA) Nashville Chapter is a community organization for book lovers in Greater Nashville and beyond. Established in 1955, the chapter promotes reading, supports literacy, and advances the role of women in the community of the book. It brings together readers and people who write, publish, sell, teach, lend, and share books through educational programs, networking opportunities, and community activities.
From September through May, the chapter offers monthly programming, with guests welcome at most events. Its activities include a book discussion group that meets six times a year, author conversations, literary field trips, and charitable and outreach initiatives. Signature programming includes Coffee with Authors at the Southern Festival of Books, where attendees can meet writers and discuss their work. The chapter also hosts practical workshops, such as bookmaking sessions, and gatherings for members.
Membership is available through an annual dues program, and nearly all events are free and open to the public.
