WohlSoft is a vibrant international community of independent developers dedicated to creating innovative software and game projects. At the heart of their work is the Moondust Project, a versatile game engine and development kit that allows for extensive customization, making it suitable for a variety of gaming experiences beyond just fan-made Mario games. The team has also developed TheXTech, a modern cross-platform port of the SMBX engine, which has gained popularity for its enriched features, including Android and Switch compatibility.

Led by founder Wohlstand, who was inspired by the SMBX engine, the community has expanded to include contributors like ds-sloth, responsible for performance enhancements, and Rednaxela, who focuses on rendering engines and support for graphics. WohlSoft's offerings range from game engines and development tools to MIDI synthesizer libraries and sound libraries, showcasing their commitment to supporting both developers and gamers alike. Through collaborative efforts and continued innovation, WohlSoft is setting the stage for new possibilities in game development and creative software solutions.
