Wohnen-wie-ich-will Kiel

Wohnen-wie-ich-will Kiel e. V. is a Kiel-based association working to make inclusive living possible for people with significant physical and multiple disabilities. Founded by ten families from Kiel and the surrounding area, the initiative responds to the limited housing options available to people who need assistance around the clock. Rather than relying solely on traditional fully residential care, the association aims to create conditions that allow residents to shape their lives in an inclusive home setting.

Its central project is Hauswohngemeinschaft Hörn, a shared residential community in the heart of Kiel. The association develops and supports this housing project and promotes the broader goal of enabling people with high assistance needs to live as part of the community. Its website shares project news, information about the association, and details on inclusion, alongside accessible content in plain language. Visitors can also learn about the project’s supporters and find ways to help. Through its work, Wohnen-wie-ich-will Kiel e. V. advocates for greater choice and participation in housing for people with disabilities.
