Women Doing Science is an international movement that aims to increase the visibility of women in the field of science. Founded by Alexandra Phillips in 2018, Women Doing Science tells the inspiring stories of diverse scientists from around the world. With a team of dedicated international volunteers, they have featured over 800 women in STEM to an audience of over 100,000 people. Through their social media platforms and the use of the hashtag #womendoingscience, they challenge the traditional, stereotyped depictions of scientists that saturate traditional media.

In addition to their mission of highlighting diverse scientific experiences, Women Doing Science has launched the Wonder Fund. This initiative seeks to create opportunities for Black and Indigenous women in the field of geoscience. The Wonder Fund provides annual travel grants and mentorship opportunities for Black or Indigenous women in Earth and space sciences, assisting them in attending American Geophysical Union conferences.

To establish the endowed travel fund, Women Doing Science needs to raise at least $50,000. They welcome donations from individuals and corporate sponsors who want to contribute to supporting and empowering Black and Indigenous women in geoscience.

As a way to support their operations, Women Doing Science offers limited edition logo stickers for purchase. Every transparent vinyl sticker bought helps cover their operational costs, with donors being able to choose their donation amount at checkout.
