About Women in Energy
Women in Energy (WONY) is a non-profit association founded in Budapest in 2017. Our mission is to increase the representation of women in leadership positions in the energy sector, not only in Hungary but also in the Central and Southeastern European (CEE) countries. We believe that the unlimited power of women can bring success and innovation to the industry, especially in the rapidly changing energy landscape. By supporting and connecting women in the energy field, we aim to create a diverse and competitive industry.
Our programs include mentoring, networking events, site visits, and career development support. We also conduct extensive research on gender balance in the energy sector and provide recommendations to increase diversity. Through these initiatives, we strive to inspire and empower women to reach top decision-making positions and make a lasting impact on the energy industry.
