About Women in Leadership
The Women in Leadership Foundation (WIL), established in 2001, is a dynamic national non-profit organization dedicated to fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces across Canada. With a mission to advance women's leadership development and enhance their presence in leadership roles, WIL engages a vast community of women professionals. Through various impactful programs, such as the award-winning Mentorship Program, WIL has successfully mentored over 2,300 women and created local chapters in major cities, including Vancouver, Ottawa, and Toronto.
WIL not only celebrates the achievements of women but also facilitates connections among individuals, companies, and organizations to drive positive change. The foundation acknowledges the importance of role models by hosting sector-specific events and forums that showcase the successes of diverse women leaders, including Indigenous leaders. As they approach their 23rd anniversary, WIL invites all to participate in Women in Leadership Day on May 29, 2024, to promote equity and support the empowerment of women in leadership across Canada
