Archif Menywod Cymru / Women’s Archive Wales is an organisation dedicated to promoting the recognition of women in Welsh history and preserving the sources that document their lives and work. It seeks to help people understand the past by rescuing historical records, supporting research and making collections publicly accessible in partnership with professional archivists across Wales.

The organisation develops research projects that bring women’s experiences to the forefront. These include work on women in sport, equal pay and rights, women’s experiences during the First World War, and the lives of women in industry. Projects draw on oral history interviews, biographies, films and community archives, with selected materials shared through resources such as the People’s Collection Wales. The organisation also publishes heritage walk booklets and supports the study of women’s history through conferences, lectures, day schools and other events.

Women’s Archive Wales invites people to donate records documenting women’s lives and work in Wales.
