Women's Health Advocates

Women’s Health Advocates is a coalition that brings people together to educate government decision-makers about the policies and funding needed to improve women’s health. Its work connects lived experience with scientific evidence to advance education, policy and advocacy, addressing health needs from head to toe throughout women’s lives. The coalition engages in bipartisan Capitol Hill advocacy and grassroots organizing, and works to unite people and sectors around issues that solely, disproportionately or differently affect women.

Its activities include congressional briefings, advocacy events, webinars and campaigns, as well as tools that help supporters contact their representatives. Priorities highlighted include breast cancer screening and early detection, sex differences in medical research and treatment, menopause, and disparities in medical reimbursement. The Breast Cancer Early Detection Coalition is part of Women’s Health Advocates, and supporters can participate in both efforts. The organization also invites people to join its community, attend monthly calls, join its steering committee, purchase branded merchandise or donate.
