Wonderbaarlijk Bevallen

Wonderbaarlijk Bevallen is a comprehensive pregnancy and childbirth preparation course offered by Praktijk Verwondering, a practice led by midwife and birth coach Kylie Berens. Created for expectant parents, the course combines clear, realistic information with practical tools and a warm, attentive approach, helping participants prepare with confidence while recognizing that every birth may unfold differently.

Across three connected parts, parents learn about the physical, hormonal and emotional processes of labor, self-care during pregnancy, and ways to work together as partners and communicate with their care provider. The course also covers bonding with the baby, the postpartum period, and breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, supporting preparation beyond birth itself. Its aim is to encourage calm, connection and a sense of agency, whatever circumstances arise.

Participants can choose group sessions at a local venue or private instruction, with courses available in parts of Limburg and Brabant. Online participation is offered throughout the Netherlands. Praktijk Verwondering also provides other forms of guidance around pregnancy, birth and early parenthood, delivered with room for needs and pace.
