Wonderment Speech

Wonderment Speech Language Pathology is a boutique paediatric speech pathology service based in Scarness, Hervey Bay, and serving the Fraser Coast region. Led by speech language pathologist Jenny, the practice supports children aged 0–6 who are developing communication, social-emotional and play skills. Its services include formal and informal speech and language assessments to identify a child’s strengths and areas for development, as well as tailored therapy plans and ongoing sessions.

Wonderment uses a child-focused, family-centred and evidence-based approach, with play-based activities designed to make learning enjoyable and engaging. Parents and guardians are involved in sessions and receive practical strategies to use at home during everyday routines. The practice also helps children build social and emotional skills, including expressing feelings, sharing, taking turns and initiating play, according to their age and needs. Wonderment works collaboratively with families to set therapy goals and support children’s communication development, with an emphasis on early intervention and helping children express themselves.
