Welcome to the Wooden Boat Foundation, located in Port Townsend, WA. We are proud to host the largest wooden boat festival in North America, where you can immerse yourself in the magic of wooden boats and our maritime culture. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a first-time visitor, our festival offers something for everyone.
Experience the thrill of being on the water by rowing a longboat, paddling a SUP, sailing on a schooner, or taking a guided motorboat tour. Families can enjoy a weekend of fun with activities such as building wooden boats, creating maritime-themed artwork, pirate treasure hunts, and paddleboard rides. Best of all, kids aged 12 and under can participate for free! If you own a wooden boat, you can exhibit it at our festival and join us in celebrating the beauty of these vessels.
Additionally, we rely on the help of over 500 volunteers each year, so consider joining our team and be a part of creating an unforgettable event. Come and visit us at the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival and be captivated by the boats, craftsmanship, community, and celebration
