Woodrow Nash Studios presents the work of Ohio-based sculptor Woodrow Nash, whose more than three decades of practice explore culture, identity, ancestry, and legacy. Working with clay, paint, and fire in his Akron studio, Nash creates handworked figurative sculptures informed by the visual language of the African diaspora. His pieces are collected internationally and have been exhibited in the United States and abroad, with works held in private collections, institutional galleries, and historic sites such as Whitney Plantation.
The studio offers original sculptures alongside limited-edition, signed posters featuring figures including Asha, Bomani, Danso, Hadia, and Nomsa. Shoppers can also find hand-etched stone slates inscribed with African and Ethiopian proverbs, as well as related works and gifts. The website features auctions, including scratch-and-dent sales, and provides access to new releases and private auction previews through its mailing list. Nash’s work is presented for private collectors, galleries, and institutions seeking distinctive art with a strong narrative presence. The brand connects each offering to stories of memory, resilience, responsibility, and cultural heritage.
