Woody Shoots

Woody Shoots is a designer-only woodland atelier based on 4.89 acres in Arlington, Washington, tended by Diane Dixon. It supplies native-led, woodland-grown stems and botanical materials to floral designers across Snohomish County and the broader Pacific Northwest. Rather than a farm stand, conventional wholesaler, or fixed online catalog, the atelier offers small-batch materials gathered selectively according to what the land and season provide.

Its offerings include native branches, seasonal foliage, understory plants, berries, evergreen textures, and sculptural botanical cuts. Featured materials range from red osier dogwood, snowberry, vine maple, cascara, and western red cedar to osoberry, red flowering currant, Japanese snowball viburnum, and heuchera foliage. Availability shifts through autumn, winter, and spring, with brief seasonal windows and no guarantee that every species or palette will be available.

Woody Shoots supports floral design, installations, large-scale events, and editorial projects, including tailored pulls shaped around a designer’s vision. Harvesting emphasizes stewardship, selective cuts, and seasonality. Materials are available by inquiry and pickup only.
