Worcester Walks offers guided tours and history presentations that bring the stories of Worcester to life. Its guides lead easy circular walks through the city’s historic streets and riverside, sharing tales of kings, Vikings, famous artists and other notable characters. Most guides hold qualifications such as Green Badge accreditation or membership of the Institute and Guild of Guides; other guides are trained by the organisation.
Regular walks start and finish at Worcester Guildhall on the High Street and last around 90 minutes to two hours. They generally run at 11am, Tuesday to Saturday, from April through October, with no advance booking required. Private walks can also be arranged at other times and throughout the year, including personalised tours for groups. Themed options explore subjects such as Worcester’s blue plaques, Sir Edward Elgar and the city’s role in the Civil War.
Worcester Walks also provides one-hour PowerPoint presentations for venues, with some available via Zoom. Topics include Georgian Worcester and Charles II’s escape.
