About WoriUganda
WORI, the Women Rights Initiative, is a Ugandan non-profit organization dedicated to promoting gender equality, women's rights, and youth empowerment in the region. Established in 2007 by three passionate Ugandan women, WORI aims to empower women and youth by providing access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and leadership training. The organization collaborates with local communities, organizations, and government agencies to create sustainable solutions to challenges faced by women and youth.
WORI's impactful programs include assisting GBV victims, issuing menstrual pads, supporting business startups, and reaching millions of people. Their approach prioritizes building relationships, addressing root causes of inequality and poverty, promoting women's participation in decision-making, and continuous improvement. Join WORI as a volunteer to make a difference in advancing women's rights and gender equality.
Together, we can create a better future for women and youth in communities and beyond
