About Work in Culture
WorkInCulture is a non-profit arts service organization that has been dedicated to advancing the careers of artists, creatives, and cultural workers since 1997. With a vision of a globally competitive and innovative Ontario cultural sector, they aim to contribute to the economic and social well-being of the province. WorkInCulture offers a wide range of programs and resources to support the arts and culture community.
From workshops and webinars on organizational capacity and business planning to research initiatives like MakingItWork and the Creative Works Conference, they provide opportunities for dialogue and impact in the sector. WorkInCulture also serves as a platform for job seekers and employers through their popular JobBoard, and provides professional development opportunities through the DiscoveryBoard. They celebrate and recognize outstanding cultural workers through the WorkInCulture Bob Johnston Award and share success stories and best practices through their podcasts.
