About Working Minds
Working Minds is the philosophy and publishing project of G.E. Nordell, presenting a progressive, practical approach to personal empowerment and social change. Its central idea is that individuals can develop their potential through reason, responsibility, and independent thought, contributing to what Nordell calls the fulfillment of mankind’s potential. The philosophy draws in part on Ayn Rand, Albert Camus, Eric Berne’s Transactional Analysis, C. Wright Mills, Thorstein Veblen, Carlos Castañeda, quantum physics, and Nordell’s original ideas.
The website offers the Working Minds Manifesto, essays, quotations, free e-books, activism initiatives, and proposed solutions. Its extensive essay archive addresses philosophy, politics, economics, culture, and quality of life, while quotation pages collect writings from a range of historical and contemporary thinkers. Working Minds also features the Dateline Chamesa blog, which continues the project’s publishing activity through essays, quotations, and news commentary. A former newsletter, WMail, ran through October 2007, with past issues and their essays preserved online. The site invites readers to explore its materials and engage with its call for reason-based, individual participation.
