MOTA-ENGIL is a leading international construction and engineering company with a strong commitment to sustainable development, particularly in the energy and industrial sectors. Their subsidiary, MOTA-ENGIL MEXICO, has recently entered into a significant agreement with Pemex Transformación Industrial to construct a state-of-the-art fertilizer industrial plant in Escolin, Poza Rica, in the State of Vera Cruz. This ambitious project includes the production of ammonia, urea, and AdBlue, aiming for an annual output exceeding 700,000 tons.

Through innovative approaches, including a tolling model, MOTA-ENGIL MEXICO will manage the transformation of raw materials supplied by Pemex, thus reducing fertilizer imports and enhancing the autonomy of Mexico’s agricultural sector. The plant's development is planned in three phases, with a total investment of $1.2 billion expected to be completed over four years, followed by two decades of technical operation. With a focus on performance and sustainability, MOTA-ENGIL is poised to be a vital player in reinforcing Mexico's competitive standing in the region.
