About World Harp Congress Official
The World Harp Congress (WHC), established in 1981, is a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting harpists globally. The Congress originated from the Harpweeks initiated in the Netherlands and has evolved into a vibrant international forum held every three years in various countries. It aims to foster the exchange of ideas, stimulate collaborations, and promote the composition of new harp music.
Attendees can enjoy a rich program of concerts, workshops, seminars, and exhibits, addressing all facets of harp performance and musicology. The WHC boasts a diverse membership from over 50 countries and encourages anyone with an interest in the harp to join.
Upcoming events include the One Harp World gathering in Toronto, Canada, scheduled for July 28 – August 3, 2026, co-hosted with the American Harp Society.
