About World Methodist Council
The World Methodist Council is an association of 80 member Churches in 132 countries, representing over 80 million people in the Methodist, Wesleyan, and United/Uniting Church traditions. Their aim is to connect Methodist and Wesleyan faith communities throughout the world by participating in Council events and endeavors. The Council works towards human reconciliation and creates conditions that foster community and world peace.
Through its World Evangelism Division, the Council spreads the Good News of Jesus Christ. Unity in faith is another focus of the Council, which engages in dialogue with other Christian world communions. They also offer various programs, including the Methodist Ecumenical Office in Rome, Methodist Liaison Office in Jerusalem, and the Wesley Works Editorial Project.
