World Orienteering Week (WOW) is an International Orienteering Federation project that promotes movement, participation and enjoyment of orienteering around the world. Each year, the initiative invites clubs, schools, federations and other organisers to hold activities and register them as WOW events during a designated week. In 2026, eligible events take place from May 16 to May 24.

WOW provides an online platform for discovering events, sharing event links and registering activities. Organisers can add event details, images, promotional materials and map examples, while participants can explore events by country or region. The site also features stories highlighting local organisers and activities, from school events and training camps to urban sprints and adapted sessions.
