Worldrise is a nonprofit organization that has worked for more than a decade to advance effective conservation of Italy’s seas. It brings people closer to the ocean and builds awareness of its importance, encouraging collective commitment to protect it. Its work focuses on three areas: marine biodiversity, artivism and empowerment.

Through biodiversity initiatives, Worldrise supports the conservation of marine life and amplifies the efforts of Marine Protected Areas. It also uses art as a communication tool to share ocean conservation messages and engages people who can become future guardians of the Mediterranean’s natural heritage. Worldrise’s projects contribute to its goal of promoting effective protection for at least 30 percent of Italian seas by 2030.

The organization invites individuals, volunteers and businesses to collaborate and take part in its mission. Supporters can contribute through donations, including Italy’s five-per-thousand tax designation, and follow its work through project updates, free resources and a newsletter.
