Worser Bay Surf Lifesaving Club is a family-oriented community club based at 250 Marine Parade in Seatoun, Wellington. Established in 1910, it is the third life saving club founded in New Zealand and has a long history of serving its coastal community. The club welcomes members of all ages, from children and families to adults interested in swimming, surf sports, or lifesaving.
Its activities include sea swimming, board training, surf competitions, and the Junior Surf programme, which helps young members develop personal, competition, and lifesaving skills in a safe aquatic environment. People can also train to become surf lifeguards, join patrols, and gain further qualifications in areas such as inflatable rescue boat operation and first aid. The club invites new members, including parents of Junior Surf participants.
Alongside its sporting and safety programmes, Worser Bay offers club facilities, social gatherings, barbecues, and venue hire throughout the year for events such as weddings, meetings, community groups, and dinner parties.
