About Wings of the North
Wings of the North Air Museum, located at Flying Cloud Airport in Minnesota, is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring the community to explore aviation and space. Since its establishment in 1998, Wings of the North has been committed to showcasing the impact of aviation and space exploration on society, both globally and locally. They believe that understanding the history, heroes, and technology of aviation and space is essential in comprehending the world we live in.
Wings of the North hosts an array of events and programs to achieve their mission, including the annual AirExpo flight demonstrations and displays, symposiums, guest speaker series, and school presentations. They also have an aircraft restoration program aimed at bringing historically significant planes back to life. In addition to their events and programs, Wings of the North is actively involved in the community through their ongoing aircraft restoration efforts and social events.
Their long-term goal is to establish a major, world-class museum and educational facility in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Supporting Wings of the North means supporting the preservation of aviation history and the promotion of aerospace education.
