Realm Codex is a fan-made directory for exploring World of Warcraft realms and finding useful information before choosing a server or transferring a character. The site presents realms by server type, region, and atmosphere, with a dedicated page for each server featuring a description, tags, and links to relevant reference sources. It does not display population statistics, ratings, or charts, and directs visitors to Blizzard’s realm status pages for current server information.

Alongside the realm catalog, Realm Codex offers introductory material about party roles and classes, including tanks, healers, and ranged damage dealers. Its pages connect readers to resources such as Wowpedia, Warcraft Wiki, Wowhead, and Blizzard’s official World of Warcraft portal for lore, mechanics, guides, news, and updates. The project frames realms as communities shaped by guilds, communication, and shared history, helping visitors consider more than server rules alone. Realm Codex is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment; trademarks and contributed illustrations belong to their respective owners.
