WP Athletics

Western Province Athletics (WPA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the development and excellence of athletics throughout the Western Province. With a mission to promote athletics as both a sport and a recreational activity, WPA aims to engage all sectors of the community, ensuring access and participation for everyone, including marginalized groups.

WPA's offerings include a diverse array of programs such as club resources, athlete insurance, and coaching initiatives, including the Nursery School Programme, Kids Athletics, and the Excellence Squad. The organization hosts various athletics meetings and competitions, including cross country, road running, race walking, and track & field events, catering to athletes of all ages and abilities, including disabled participants.

Underpinned by values of respect, integrity, and inclusion, WPA is committed to promoting fair play and transforming athletics at every level. The board, comprised of dedicated leaders, is responsible for guiding the organization's strategies and ensuring sound management and financial accountability.
