About WaterResourcesAuthorityKenya
Water Resources Authority (WRA) is a state corporation mandated to safeguard the right to clean water through proper regulation of water resources management. Established under the Water Act, 2016, WRA has been ensuring sufficient water for all since its inception 12 years ago. Aligned with the country's Big 4 agenda, Vision 2030, and SDG 6, WRA strives to increase water availability and improve water quality sustainably.
The Authority formulates standards, enforces regulations, issues water permits, collects fees, and coordinates with national and international bodies. With a vision to be an exemplary water resource regulator, WRA's mission is to effectively manage water resources in partnership with stakeholders.
