Writing for Green

Writing for Green is a brand with a mission to empower environmental justice community groups and leaders by building their capacity to secure and effectively manage grant funding. We are dedicated to creating a nonprofit ecosystem where grant funding is distributed more equitably, resulting in improved health and quality of life for those disproportionately impacted by climate change, environmental degradation, and pollution. At Writing for Green, we are guided by the principle that the communities most affected by environmental issues have historically been excluded from decision-making and funding opportunities.

We acknowledge the inequitable distribution of resources and strive to provide the necessary funding to low-wealth communities, particularly those predominantly made up of people of color. We believe that frontline community members have invaluable knowledge and should be actively involved in crafting solutions. Our services cater to nonprofit executives, community leaders, TCTACs and foundations, and government administrators.
