Wrkndog is a dog-training business based in Bohemia, Long Island, New York, serving clients in Suffolk and Nassau counties. Founded and led by its owner, the company says it has trained dogs in the area for over 25 years. Its approach, summarized as “Commands with Communication,” emphasizes clear communication, leash technique, trust, teamwork, consistency, and simplicity rather than using food treats as rewards.
Wrkndog offers training for dogs of all breeds, ages, and behavioral challenges, with sessions structured around each client’s goals. Puppy training is available for dogs under five months and consists of five 60-minute sessions. Obedience training for dogs over five months includes six 60-minute sessions.
For more challenging needs, Specialized Obedience Sessions provide five private 60-minute sessions focused on reactive and aggressive behaviors. The business also lists protection and service dog training among its offerings. Classes are instructed by the owner and founder, and prospective clients can contact Wrkndog to ask questions or schedule a free evaluation
